Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy

Business activities

Dataglow Energy (the “Company” of UK House 5th Floor, 164-182 Oxford Street, London, W1D 1NN) and its subsidiaries are in the business of the development of renewable energy projects.

Foreword

Dataglow Energy is passionate about creating a business which people want to be part of, as both customers and employees. The idea that people are forced into work against their will or best interest is abhorrent. We recruit brilliant people, we pay them fairly, and we treat them and their lives with respect, and we are methodical about ensuring that our suppliers and partners do the same.

We are fully committed to acting ethically and reserve the right to terminate our relationship with any supply chain partner if they breach this policy and/or are found to have been involved in modern slavery.

Due Diligence

We recognise that a key risk in relation to Modern Slavery is through our supply chain. To mitigate this risk, where appropriate, we operate an approved supplier list and conduct due diligence on suppliers/contractors/consultants prior to them becoming approved.  Our approval procedure includes due diligence of the supplier covering areas such as professional standing, conformance to the law, compliance with health, safety and environmental standards, qualifications, references and adoption of Dataglow’s supplier code of conduct.

Our internal recruitment processes are transparent and confirm individuals Right to Work provisions and all employees are paid directly into an appropriate personal bank account.

Training & Awareness

All new starters to the business are made aware of company policies – including this one – on initial induction.  Further training and CPDs are given periodically as refreshers and as policies and/or legal requirements change.

Looking Ahead

We are committed both now and in the future to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings. This year, we are setting up our supplier governance processes to ensure that our first project procurement contracts drive improvements in addressing modern slavery.

Other Policies

We operate a suite of internal policies to ensure that we are conducting business in a fair, ethical and transparent manner. These include:

  • Anti-Bribery & Corruption Policy;
  • Supplier Code of Conduct;
  • Equal Opportunities Policy;
  • Whistleblowing Policy.
